Shahzaib Murder Case: Accused get the death sentence

Shahzaib-Khan-murder-caseAnti terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi has given his decision on Shahzaib murder case and awarded death sentence to accuse Siraj Talpur and Shahrukh Jatoi. While the two other accused have been awarded with life imprisonment. The court has penalized all four accused with Rs 500,000 fine while Sajjad Talpur and Murtaza Lashari will serve an additional one-year imprisonment for harassing Shahzeb’s sister.

On the other hand Shahrukh Jatoi Lawyer and family members decided to challenge the decision in Sindh High Court.
Shahzaib Khan, 20 the son of DSP Orangzeb, was shot dead on 24th December, 2012 in the defense area. Read More

Immediate removal of multiple CNG cylinders

Immediate removal of multiple CNG cylinders  Islamabad High Court (IHC) yesterday order the immediate removal of CNG cylinders  from the public transport and school vans. The petition was filed by advocate Waqas Malik, while hearing the petition IHC Chief Justice Muhammad Anwar Khan Kasi also sought a report from Chief Commissioner Islamabad and other respondents in this regard. The petitioner said that the Gujrat incident occurred due to the use of poor-quality and more than one cylinder

in the vehicle. He added that the concerned  authorities have paid no heed to this serious issue. The petitioner requested the IHC to the removal of poor-quality and multiple cylinder in the public transport.
In this regard IHC directed the Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Secretary Ministry of Interior and Secretary Transport to immediately remove inferior and multiple gas cylinders from passenger buses and school vans.

Sanjay Dutt gets new identity

Sanjay Dutt gets new identityActor Sanjay Dutt, who is convicted for illegal possession of weapons in 1993 Mumbai blasts case, got new identity at Pune’s Yerwada Jail. He is now being known as qaidi (prisoner) number 16656. Bollywood star Munabhai was shifted from Mumbai’s Arthur Road Prison to Yerwada Central Jail in Pune and kept in separate room. He will be spending about three and half years in prison.
 The Indian Supreme Court had upheld his conviction in the 1993 Mumbai
blasts case in the month of March but reduced a trial court sentence of six years to five years.
Sanjay Dutt now has to serve 42 months in jail as he has already served 18 months 20 years ago, part of it at the Yerwada Jail. Read More

The display of tiger airs to a litigation against the party, Faryal Gohar, who is a human rights activist, has filed a petition against the display of tiger in public rallies through Advocate Waqqas Ahmad Mir. On Thursday, Lahore High Court issued notices to the Election Commission of Pakistan, the Wild Life Department and the DCO Lahore on  a petition looking for directions to discontinue bringing of a live tiger in the PML-N public rallies.

Faryal Gohar is petition related to the dignity and safety of wild and rare big felids such as tigers. She said that ECP allocated the symbol of “ Tiger” to PML-N and they constantly bring tiger in their public rallies. She added they do it just to attract the crowd and to avow political symbolism.
She said that such type of rare creature deserve the proper right, treatment and care and the bringing of wild animals in public meeting could lead to serious security problems for people due to the unpredictable behavior of big felid. Read More

Indian Supreme Court to hear Review Petition of Sanjay DuttActor Sanjay Dutt to appear before the India Supreme Court for the review petition today. The review petition was filed after the court had upheld his conviction under the Arms Act. The court convicted Sanjay Dutt under the Arms Act and sentencing him to five years in jail in 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case. Sanjay Dutt was condemned by the TADA court for illegal possession of a 9 mm pistol and an AK-56 rifle, which was part of the
shipment of weapons and explosives, which had been brought to India for co-ordinating serial blasts that killed 257 people and injured over 700.
A bench of P Sathasivam and B S Chauhan, which had delivered March 21 verdict, will take up the review plea in the chamber. It will also consider similar pleas made by the other six convicts in the case. ReadMore

Sanaullah Haq lost his life, dead body to arrive in Pakistan at 4PMPakistani Prisoner Sanaullah Haq lost his life earlier today due to the multiple organ failure. He was beaten by an inmate in Jammu jail and admitted to Chandigarh hospital on 3rd May, 2013.  He has been in critical condition since the attack and in less than a week he scummed due to injuries. The attack was an apparent revenge for the death of an Indian spy prisoner Sarabjit Singh, threatening already fraught relations between the nations.
The dead body of Sanaullah Haq will arrive in Pakistan at 4 PM via special plan, said reports.

On the other hand Pakistan Thursday sought an investigation into the death of Sanaullah Haq and the interim Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso has also called upon the Indian government to ensure the safety and security of all Pakistani prisoners in Indian jails.
Sanaullah was serving a life sentence after he was convicted for a bus bombing that killed 10 people in 1994. He had been in jail for 17 years at the time he was attacked. Read More

Indian spy Sarabjit Singh Passed away
The Indian spy Sarabjit Singh is passed away, he was under treatment in Jinnah Hospital Lahore. Sarabjit Singh was attacked with bricks by two other prisoners at the Kot Lakhpat Jail Lahore on 26th April, 2013. He had received serious head injuries and shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medical treatment. The prisoners who attacked Sarabjit Singh were identified as Rizwan and Amir, who were on the death row.

The Kot Lakhpat Police registered a case against two prisoners under the offense of attempt to murder Sarabjit.
Singh was arrested in 1990 due to his  part in the bombings in Lahore and Faisalabad that killed 14 people. On the other hand his family claimed that he was innocent.
He was sentenced to death and the appeal of mercy was rejected by Pakistani courts and former President Pervez Musharraf.Read More

The interim challan showed that Musharraf is guilty and making fake statements that others are responsible for Benazir murder.The sources said that the challan is possible to be submitted in the Anti Terrorism Court on 3rd May.

Musharraf is under arrest, appeared before the anti - terrorism court, Senate demands to try him under article 06  Pervez Musharraf has been taken before an anti – terrorism court in Islamabad under heavy security. The case of Musharraf is heard by judge Kausar Abbas Zaidi, at the ATC which was established on Friday. Musharraf was charged that he ordered the illegal custody of judges while we has in power, his lawyer said. The judge issued an order for a two-day-long transit remand of Musharraf.


We informed you earlier that the Islamabad High Court rejected the interim bail extension plea of ex-military leader Pervez Musharraf and order his arrest.
Musharraf was whisked away from the premises of Islamabad High court to evade his arrest.He was taken into house arrest on Friday, where police have massed outside.
A spokesperson of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) party told that Musharraf has been sent on a two-day remand and he will stay at his farmhouse. Later on Pervez Musharraf was shifted to the police headquarters in Islamabad from his farmhouse residence at Chak Shahzad.
Conversely the Senate claimed to try former President Gen. (R) Pervez Musharraf under article 06 of the constitution on charges of “high treason”.
The House unanimously adopted a resolution calling upon the government to arrest Pervez Musharraf and try him under article 06. It also demanded the implementation of its resolution of January 23, 2012. Read More

Pervez Musharraf runs away to evade the court’s arrest orderIslamabad High Court has rejected the interim bail extension Plea of Pakistan’s former president Pervez Musharraf  and ordered his immediate arrest.Pervez Musharraf, accompanied by his guards, had appeared before court to look for an extension in his bail, but the court by dismissing his plea order his arrest. Musharraf  was immediately run away from the Islamabad High Court complex by his bodyguards at unknown place.


Some reports said that Musharraf will now be confined to his home, technically under house arrest, after the cancellation of his bail extension plea.
In the meantime, Musharraf’s close associate Raza Bokhari also denied that he fled from the court premises to avoid arrest.
It is worth mentioning here that former president of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf  was disqualified from contesting 11th May , 2013 elections.Read More
