Islamabad High Court (IHC) yesterday order the immediate removal of CNG cylinders from the public transport and school vans. The petition was filed by advocate Waqas Malik, while hearing the petition IHC Chief Justice Muhammad Anwar Khan Kasi also sought a report from Chief Commissioner Islamabad and other respondents in this regard. The petitioner said that the Gujrat incident occurred due to the use of poor-quality and more than one cylinder
in the vehicle. He added that the concerned authorities have paid no heed to this serious issue. The petitioner requested the IHC to the removal of poor-quality and multiple cylinder in the public transport.
In this regard IHC directed the Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Secretary Ministry of Interior and Secretary Transport to immediately remove inferior and multiple gas cylinders from passenger buses and school vans.
