Shahbaz Sharif to be the CM Punjab for facing rising challenges

The reports said that Shahbaz Sharif is ready to be the chief minister of Punjab. Currently he will be the CM Punjab for the fourth time because the PML-N does not wish to introduce a replacement candidate for the seat of CM Punjab. The party leaders during an informal consultative meeting related to creating governments at the Centre and in the provinces gave their consent to Shahbaz Sharif because he is the best option for CM Punjab.
The meeting was hung on Sunday at the Raiwind residence of PML-N’s chief Nawaz Sharif.
A source told to DawnNews that they initially decided to select Chaudhry Nisar Ali as the new CM Punjab but keeping in view the rising challenge with Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) they commit to continue with Shahbaz Sharif as chief minister.Read More

Altaf Hussain demands to separate Karachi From Pakistan: JI insists to take notice  Altaf Hussain, the leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), while addressing to the workers of his party at Nine Zero yesterday said that the establishment doesn’t like the mandate of his party, it should separate Karachi from the rest of the country.He said that dispatch Karachi from Pakistan if you dislike its people’s mandate, added that they they were playing with fire and this fire would burn down the entire Pakistan.

His statement was criticized by Jamat-e-Islami leader (JI), Dr Mairajul Huda, Sunday night. He demands that the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry and Chief of the Army Staff, Ashfaq Parvez Kayani  should take immediate notice Hussain’s daring the establishment to separate Karachi from the rest of Pakistan.
JI (Sindh) Ameer said that he appeal to Chief Justice of Pakistan and Chief of the Army Staff to severely respond to the MQM leader’s separatist statement and his threats of airing the politics of violence in particular and his whole speech in general.
He was of the view that the speech of Altaf could have awfully damaging consequences, adding God forbid, if a calamity occurred in Karachi down the line only he alone would be to blame.

Display of tiger in public rallies leads to litigation against PML-N

Display of tiger in public rallies airs to litigation against PML-NAll of you fully aware about the display of tiger in the public rallies of PML-N. The display of tiger airs to a litigation against the party, Faryal Gohar, who is a human rights activist, has filed a petition against the display of tiger in public rallies through Advocate Waqqas Ahmad Mir. On Thursday, Lahore High Court issued notices to the Election Commission of Pakistan, the Wild Life Department and the DCO Lahore on  a petition looking for directions to discontinue bringing of a live tiger in the PML-N public rallies.

Faryal Gohar is petition related to the dignity and safety of wild and rare big felids such as tigers. She said that ECP allocated the symbol of “ Tiger” to PML-N and they constantly bring tiger in their public rallies. She added they do it just to attract the crowd and to avow political symbolism.
She said that such type of rare creature deserve the proper right, treatment and care and the bringing of wild animals in public meeting could lead to serious security problems for people due to the unpredictable behavior of big felid. Read More

Fire erupts at LDA Plaza in Lahore
A severe fire erupted on the seventh floor of LDA Plaza at Egerton road Lahore. Dozens of people are reportedly trapped into the Plaza. Fir engulfed the 7th floor said the initial reports .The rescue official said that fire engulfed the several floors of LDA Plaza. Nearly five fire brigade vehicles are busy in setting off the fire.Commissioner Lahore has confirmed that 25 people are trapped in the building. The helicopter has also been called in to rescue the people.


The initial reports said that the fire erupts due to the fire in electricity generator. Read More

Breaking News: Armed men kidnaped Ali Haider Gilani form Poll  rallyThe son of former Pakistani President Yousaf Raza Gillani has been kidnapped. Ali Haider Gillani was kidnapped by armed men while he was attending a poll rally in Multan. The reports said that the armed men opened fire in the poll rally and injured five people. The secretary of Ali Haider Gillani,  Mohiuddin and a bodyguard were killed by the gunmen.

The armed men came in two cars and took Ali Haider Gillani with them. The police sealed the entry and exit points of the Multan city.

Imran Khan to address last Poll rally from hospital

Imran Khan to address last Poll rally from hospital Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan will speak to the last election rally of Islamabad via video conference. He will address to the rally from his hospital room. The rally will take place this evening at D-Chowk Islamabad. Currently, Imran Khan is under treatment at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital and doctors do not allow him to address the rally from the venue.  Imran Khan was injured when he fell from a makeshift lift during an election rally in Lahore on Tuesday.


The arrangements for the rally are in full swing in Islamabad where others PTI leaders including Javed Hashmi, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Shirin Mazari will also address the gathering. ReadMore

The result of the poll showed that the majority of the people gave their votes to two political parties, Pakistan Muslim League N (PMLN) and Pakistan Threek-Insaf ( PTI). While the popularity of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) goes down rapidly with 5.62 % votes.Same is the situation with other political parties including PML(Q) with 0% votes ,

JUI(F) 0 % votes, APML 2 % votes, ANP 0 % votes , J-Islam with 2.25 % votes.

Imran Khan out of danger, delivered a video message to the nation

Imran Khan out of danger, delivered a video message to the nation The chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan who fell from a stage  lifter on Tuesday in a stable condition and recovering. He suffered a head injury that needed 18 stitches to stop his bleeding, but he is out of danger. The report of a CT scan showed that  Imran Khan has suffered a minor fracture on his head and wounds in his back, according to the doctor he need at least three-week rest for a full recovery and he might not be able to run his election campaign anymore.

Currently he is in ICU of Shaukat Khanum Hospital . Although he is in bad condition but he cares for the nation, he delivered a video message for the hospital to the people. He said that it’s now the responsibility of people to fight for their rights and well being. He said that he did whatever he could for the country in seventeen years of his life. Read More

PML-N to form Policies for Women's role in running governmental affairs The president to Pakistan Muslim League (N) Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that if their party would come into power they will make participation of women in legislation and other affairs possible. They said, while speaking to the activists of the women’s wing and the former legislators of the party, that they would make policies for the positive role and participation of women in law making as well as in running the affairs of various government departments.


He mentioned that his party, if come into power, is firm to make law and the implementation of comprehensive programme for the empowerment of women, to get them out of the torture and  discriminatory treatment in inheritance done by the society.
They would be provided with soft loans, essential facilities by the PML-N for education, professions and starting their own business.
Furthermore, they would also be able to get loans for building houses, besides enhancing their participation in the judiciary, health, education, financial and other sectors of national development.
He said care centres and women entrepreneurship financing for businesswomen would also be established to assist this vital part of the society.Read More

Musharraf is under arrest, appeared before the anti - terrorism court, Senate demands to try him under article 06  Pervez Musharraf has been taken before an anti – terrorism court in Islamabad under heavy security. The case of Musharraf is heard by judge Kausar Abbas Zaidi, at the ATC which was established on Friday. Musharraf was charged that he ordered the illegal custody of judges while we has in power, his lawyer said. The judge issued an order for a two-day-long transit remand of Musharraf.


We informed you earlier that the Islamabad High Court rejected the interim bail extension plea of ex-military leader Pervez Musharraf and order his arrest.
Musharraf was whisked away from the premises of Islamabad High court to evade his arrest.He was taken into house arrest on Friday, where police have massed outside.
A spokesperson of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) party told that Musharraf has been sent on a two-day remand and he will stay at his farmhouse. Later on Pervez Musharraf was shifted to the police headquarters in Islamabad from his farmhouse residence at Chak Shahzad.
Conversely the Senate claimed to try former President Gen. (R) Pervez Musharraf under article 06 of the constitution on charges of “high treason”.
The House unanimously adopted a resolution calling upon the government to arrest Pervez Musharraf and try him under article 06. It also demanded the implementation of its resolution of January 23, 2012. Read More

Pervez Musharraf runs away to evade the court’s arrest orderIslamabad High Court has rejected the interim bail extension Plea of Pakistan’s former president Pervez Musharraf  and ordered his immediate arrest.Pervez Musharraf, accompanied by his guards, had appeared before court to look for an extension in his bail, but the court by dismissing his plea order his arrest. Musharraf  was immediately run away from the Islamabad High Court complex by his bodyguards at unknown place.


Some reports said that Musharraf will now be confined to his home, technically under house arrest, after the cancellation of his bail extension plea.
In the meantime, Musharraf’s close associate Raza Bokhari also denied that he fled from the court premises to avoid arrest.
It is worth mentioning here that former president of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf  was disqualified from contesting 11th May , 2013 elections.Read More
