Zong bags the Fastest Growing Cellular Network’ at the RCCI Awards 2013

China Mobile Pakistan popularly known as Zong has been honored with the ‘Fastest Growing Cellular Network’ Award for the year 2013 by Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) at the prestigious 26th Achievement Awards Ceremony held recently. Samsung intros Galaxy Trend 3 with Dual-SIM capability

Samsung has introduced a new dual SIM Android smartphone dubbed the Galaxy Trend 3 the successor to the Galaxy Trend II that was released back in April. The new Samsung Galaxy Trend 3 is a budget friendly handset which offers stunning features. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and supports a a dual-core 1.2GHz processor. The Galaxy Trend 3 has a 4.3 inch screen display with 800 x 480 pixels of resolution, a 3-megapixel rear camera with no flash, MicroSD card support Bluetooth, WI-Fi, GPS/AGPS, Micro-USB, 3G and a 1,800 mAh battery. It does not come with NFC or LTE support.

The dimensions of the Galaxy Trend 3 are 129.7x66.95x9.4mm and weighs 128 grams.  Available in three colour variants including  Black, Powder Pink, and White the Galaxy Trend 3 come with preloaded apps, including Samsung's App store and ChatON instant messenger.

The Galaxy Trend 3 has been launched in China in white color option, though the company has not disclosed the pricing and availability details of the device. However, there is also no word on the roll out of the device to other markets. It is expected that the Samsung ill bring the device in other countries as well because the Galaxy Trend 2 available in China has recently hit the Indian market.

The Samsung China’s official website is showing four models (G3502U – unlocked, G3502 – for China Unicom, G3508 – for China Mobile, and G3509 – for China Telecom), but the device do not seem to different spec-wise.

Google brings Hummingbird to tackle with Complex Queries. Google has announced a new “Hummingbird” search algorithmrunning its Internet search engine to give better answers to the more and more complex questions posed by Web surfers. Google has launched the update Hummingbird at a special event in the garage of the Menlo Park (Calif.) where Google was born. The event also celebrated the 15th anniversary of Google’s founding, which is today on 27^th September.Hummingbird modification is especially fashioned to respond to the more complex queries.

The change will definitely allure more traffic to the website. It's a big change since 2010 in the internet search world, when Google upgraded its algorithm to one it called Caffeine. The senior vice president for the company Amit Singhal said that the overhaul will affect the analysis of about 90% of the search requests that Google gets. The company was of the view that the new algorithm is significant as web surfers like to get the more natural and conversational interactions with a search engine - for instance, using their voice to speak requests into mobile phones, smart watches and other wearable technology.

The Hummingbird is more apt to understand concepts and the relationships between them rather than simply words, which leads to more effective communications. Furthermore the update will increase the price of Google ads tied to search requests if websites whose rankings are devalued under the new system feel they have to purchase the marketing messages to magnetize traffic.

The hummingbird is mostly intended as giving Google's search engines a better grasp of understanding concepts instead of mere words. In addition to Hummingbird, Google declared some new updates too. Samsung to make Galaxy S4 compatible to Galaxy Gear smartwatch. There is a good news for the owner of the Samsung Galaxy S4 that the Smartphone will compatible to the Galaxy Gear smartwatch. The executive vice president of marketing at  Samsung, Lee Young-he has disclosed that the Galaxy S4 will get support for the Galaxy Gear smartwatch by the end of October. Furthermore, the other device including Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 2 will also grab the support of the Galaxy Gear sometime in December.

The vice President said ,

“All functions of the Gear will be connected to the Galaxy S4 smartphone by next month and the connection will be expanded to Galaxy Note2 and Galaxy S3 by the end of December.”

But to get the compatibility to Galaxy Gear these devices need to upgrade the latest version of Android namely 4.3 Jelly Bean OS. The upgradation will defiantly bring Bluetooth 4.0 LE support that the Galaxy Gear requires.
The Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch will be available for sale in South Korea in October with the expected price tag of €350.
