Punjab Budget 2013-14, Rs. 210 Billion Allocated to EducationThe Punjab budget 2013-14 has revealed by the Punjab Finance Minister Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman. To continue the Education Reforms introduced by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in his previous tenure (2008-13) Rs.210 billion has allocated for education.The laptop schemes would continue while Rs3 billion would be allocated to build more Danish Schools in the province.Have a look at the Punjab fiscal budget 2-13-14 below:

  • Allocation of Rs.82 Billion For Health care.
  • Allocation of Rs. 20.5 billion for investment in the energy sector to overcome power shortages in the province.
  • Allocation of Rs. 25 billion for women empowerment initiatives
  • Allocation of Rs. 13 billion for Southern Punjab Development Programme .
  • Allocation of Rs. 7.5 billion for subsidy to farmers on Solar Tube wells.
  • Allocation of Rs. 5 billion for Establishment of New Industrial City Economic Zone.
  • Allocation of 77 Billion Rupees for Police and upgradation and reforms in police culture with help of UAE and Turkey.
  • Allocation of  Rs.39 Billion for roads construction and upgradation.
  • Allocation of  Rs.5.5 Billion for Agriculture.
  • Allocation of  Rs.10 Billion for safe and clean drinking water and filtration plants.
  • Allocation of  Rs.5 Billion Dairy and Livestock.
  • Allocation of  Rs. 5 Billion for Ramzan Package.
  • Allocation of  Rs.2 Billion for Sports development.
  • Allocation of  Rs.3 Billion for Ashiana Housing Scheme.
  • Allocation of Rs.39 Billion for Roads construction and up gradation.
The minimum wages for laborers are to be set at Rs.10,000.
