Rahat Fateh Ali Khan to celebrate launch of “RFAK International” through a concert.  Pakistan’s leading music artist, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, is commemorating the launch of his new event management company RFAK International through a festive concert to be held on 8th December 2013 at Pearl Continental Hotel Lahore. ARY Network are the official media partners for the event and will be airing the exclusive concert on 31st December 2013.
RFAK International is envisioned as the nation’s premier music focused event management agency, responsible for organising musical performances and concerts of an international calibre locally in Pakistan. In addition to highlighting local artistes, RFAK International will endeavour to engage internationally acclaimed musicians to perform live in Pakistan through concerts, cultural festivals and exclusive musical evenings. RFAK International will also offer a full range of musical event services including sound engineering, acoustics management, lighting management including LED stage lighting, stage management with truss setup, HIFI audio and HD video recording services and many more.

Naheed Nusrat, wife of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan succumbs to illness



Naheed Nusrat, wife of internationally acclaimed music legend Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, succumbed to illness on 13thSeptember 2013 at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario. The wife of the late musical maestro had moved to Canada after the demise of her husband and had taken ill since the past one month. She is survived by a daughter. Born in Faisalabad, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was an internationally acclaimed Pakistani Qawwali singer who possessed an extraordinary range of vocal abilities. He contributed to and performed in several Pakistani films and later did playback singing for Bollywood. He fell ill in 1997 and passed away in London, England. 


Expressing grief over Naheed Nusrat’s passing, her nephew Rahat Fateh Ali Khan said,

 “I am extremely saddened by the recent demise of aunt Naheed. She was a devoted mother and a pillar of strength to my ustad and uncle Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. We had always enjoyed a close relationship and I was in constant contact with her even after she moved to Canada. My thoughts and prayers are with my niece and aunt Naheed’s family. May Allah grant her soul eternal peace and give strength to her family to bear this loss.”

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan commemorates Defense Day with “Khuda Raakhay” - A tribute to the immortal heroes of the 1965 war



Pakistan’s leading music artist, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, has released a unique musical tribute to the martyrs of the 1965 war on the occasion of Defense Day. The nationalistic melody, titled “Khuda Raakhay”, aims at igniting feelings of patriotism and fond remembrance for the immortal martyrs who gave their lives in defense of their homeland in the 1965 war. The official music video for the track is a visual tribute to the Pakistani Hero; the resilient Pakistani, who has demonstrated unparalleled courage in the face of insurmountable odds in all arenas, be it in the stadium or on the battlefield. The video features a montage of memorable moments from Pakistan’s history and footage of the country’s scenic vistas, acknowledging the tremendous sacrifice that our nation’s heroes made for the beauty and heritage of their country. The track was composed and vocalised by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, with lyrics by Haider Khursheed. The song was recorded and mixed at RFAK Studio.     

Speaking about the new anthem, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan said, 

“My heart goes out to our brothers and sisters in the armed forces who dedicate their entire lives to the defense of our homeland, so that the rest of us may sleep safer at night. The 1965 war is testament to the unwavering resolve of the Pakistani armed forces who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their countrymen. As the next generation of Pakistanis it is our mandate to keep their memories alive, so that their feats of heroism are never forgotten. “Khuda Raakhay” is just a humble tribute to the memory of our martyrs, who may not be with us today but will always be immortal in our hearts and minds.”
