Acer intros Chromebook C720 with Intel Haswell Processor. Acer has introduced a new Chromebook C720 with Intel Haswell. The company has released its C720 Chromebook  just two days after Google revealed its HP Chromebook 11. The Google HP Chromebook runs an ARM processor. It's the first Haswell Chromebook. The Acer Chromebook C720 features a 11.6-inch display with anti-glare technology, a resolution of 1366 by 768 pixels, Intel Celeron 2955U processor. It offers an 8.5 hours of battery life with  a single charge.
The Acer Chromebook C720 includes a 4GB of memory, 16GB on-board SSD storage, 100GB Google Drive space for two years, USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and HDMI ports.
The HDMI port offers output to an external display. Other features of the Chromebook C720 are a 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, an HD webcam, microphone, dual speakers, an SD card slot, and full-size keyboard. It is also thinner and lighter than previous Acer Chromebooks. The dimension of the C720 is 19.05mm thick and weights 1.3kg.

The Acer Chromebook C720 will go on sale in the month of November in the UK first with the price tag of £199 or $250. It will be available for pre-order at mazon.com and BestBuy.com.
The Acer C720 is quiet cheaper than the HP Chromebook 11. The HP Chromebook 11 is available in for purchase in the US and launch on Amazon, HP Shopping, Currys, Google Play, and PC World on 21stOctober with the price tag of £229 or $ 364.84.

We reported to you earlier that Microsoft would arrange an event on 23rd September to release it two new devices from its Surface series. Now it comes true at an event in New York, Microsoft showed off its Surface devices the successor to the first-generation Surface RT and Pro tablets along with new accessories. The Surface device namingly Surface RT and Surface Pro launched last year could not manage to allure buyers. The reports revealed that the Microsoft Surface RT brought $900 million loss for the company. Now it is left to see the newly arrived Surface devices how far will grab the buyers’ attention?
The Surface Pro 2 will run Windows 8.1 on an Intel Haswell chip, boosting the tablet's performance by 20% while the Surface 2 will run the Windows RT OS. The company said that the Surface Pro 2 offers 75% greater battery life than its predecessor.

The Microsoft Surface 2 Pro features a 10.6 inch 1080p display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, a 1.6GHz Intel Haswell/8 Processor,  Intel HD 4400 Graphics and 4/8 GB of RAM. For connectivity, it has 3 USB 2.0 ports, 1 USB 3.0 port, Bluetooth 4.0, mini DisplayPort, Wi-Fi, microSD card slot and 3.5mm headphone jack. It is Gorilla Glass protected and supports pen-input.

The Microsoft Surface 2 it now comes with a 10.6 inch 1080p ClearType Gorilla Glass Display, a 1.7GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 4 processor and a 72-core GeForce GPU. Other features of the Surface 2 includes a 2GB of RAM, a 5 megapixel rare-facing camera with Full HD 1080p video and a 3.5 megapixel front-facing camera. In terms of connectivity the Surface 2 has a Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0, microSD card slot, HDMI and 3.5mm headphone jack.
It offers 10 hours of continuous battery life.

Only available in Silver color option the Surface 2 contains the price tag of $ 449 or £359 while Surface Pro 2 price tag is $ 889 or £719. The company said that the Surface launched with 10,000 apps, and the Windows Store now has 100,000.
The pre-orders for the Surface 2 will start on 24th September via Microsoft’s online and physical stores, and Best Buy in the United States and Canada. Both the Surface Pro 2 and Surface 2 will be available starting 22nd October in the UK as well with the same pre-order date.
